Away We Go!

I’m a big “holidays” guy. I wasn’t always but, especially after college, my enjoyment of this season has grown immeasurably. It could be any number of reasons and it’s probably a lot of them.

One of the main ones is that it still reminds me of a time of year when I’d make a snowman in the front yard and throw snowballs at the telephone pole on the corner, then go inside for hot chocolate and fuzzy blankets and tree lights with my family.

Just as I remember my childhood at this time of year, the season also provides an opportunity to reflect over the last year of your life. This one just so happened to include starting a nonprofit with two good friends.

It included family, friends, and people we didn’t know signing up for our newsletter.

It included a partnership with a company who supports our mission.

It included generous donations from people who believed in our work - and in us.

It included loved ones reading what we wrote, telling others, lending us extension cords and folding tables.

It included two fantastic events where we brought the idea of RC car racing to well over a hundred kids.

It’s only November 11 so this likely won’t be the last reflection on 2023 but as we plot out our course for 2024, we’re incredibly grateful that you’re along for the ride. Let’s find out where we go next.

Happy Holiday Season.

Onward. Together. Always.
